The actress starring in Quantic Dream's upcoming title Beyond: Two Souls isn't particularly happy about how similar The Last of Us' Ellie looks like herself.
In an "Ask Me Anything" on Reddit, Ellen Page was posed the following question:
This has almost certainly been made clear to you several times, but are you aware how much you look like Ellie from The Last of Us, a video game which came out about a week ago. She even sounds like you. So much so that almost everyone assumed it was you playing the role.
Which leads me to my questions:
How did you like playing the role of a video game character when doing Beyond: Two Souls? Do you prefer live action? Have you seen any footage of The Last of Us and would you have taken the role as Ellie if approached?"
Page responded by saying, "I guess I should be flattered that they ripped off my likeness, but I am actually acting in a video game called Beyond Two Souls, so it was not appreciated."

Inception star Ellen Page has said developer Naughty Dog "ripped off" her likeness for .
, Page said the initial similarities between herself and The Last of Us' Ellie were "not appreciated" because she was also cast as Jodie Holmes in Beyond: Two Souls, which is due out for PlayStation 3 in October 2013.
"I guess I should be flattered that they ripped off my likeness," said Page, "but I am actually acting in a videogame called Beyond Two Souls, so it was not appreciated."
After initial comments regarding Ellie's resemblance to Page, Naughty Dog altered the design of the character to more closely resemble her voice actress Ashley Johnson.
Responding to Page's comments, Naughty Dog creative director Neil Druckmann to praise the work of of Johnson. "Ellie from The Last of Us was perfectly played by @TheVulcanSalute. No one could've done a better job. Please go follow her and retweet."
